Ear drum perforation means a small hole or tear in the thin layer (ear drum) that separates the outer ear from the middle ear.

Ear discharge is the fluid, pus, or sometimes blood that may come out of the ear when there is an infection or injury.

Age-related hearing loss is the slow loss of hearing that happens as people get older. It usually starts with difficulty hearing soft voices or following conversations in noisy places. Over time, it may become harder to understand speech clearly. Hearing aids and other treatments can help improve communication and quality of life.

Sudden hearing loss means a quick loss of hearing, usually in one ear, that happens over a few hours or days. It may be noticed as muffled sounds, ringing in the ear, or sudden difficulty hearing on one side. This is a medical emergency, and getting treatment quickly can improve the chances of recovery.

Ear wax is a natural substance made by the ear to protect and clean the ear canal. It helps trap dust, germs, and small particles from reaching the ear drum. Usually, ear wax comes out on its own, but if too much builds up, it can cause ear blockage, pain, or hearing loss.
